CBNTAA Information



Athena-Aware Ntuples are now produced in release 12 standard production. The fast simulation information is stored in a separate ntuple called 'FastTree' (instead of the usual CollectionTree). In principle, this should allow the user to run the same analysis on fast and full simulation output. The variables you might expect to see are given below. Variables that are declared in the ntuple but not filled from fast simulation have been omitted.

In 12.0.6 standard production, TauRec-tagged and Tau1p3p-tagged jets were put into both of the following collections by accident! The two types of hadronic tau are indistinguishable in the TauJet output but distinguishable in the ParticleJet output (see further down)

The ParticleJet energies are deliberately unscaled. The user can therefore choose which jet tag to consider and apply the correction factor for that hypothesis accordingly (note that there is a light jet scaling factor)
