London Underground's automatic telephone travel information service has an optional segment of strike information. It is selected by speaking loudly at the appropriate moment, when prompted by the recorded voices. The number is (+44) 171 222 1234. (The line is often busy during the day, but we have succeeded in getting through to it. Be persistent.)
We have mailed maps of the UCL area to everyone registered by 25/6/96. If they dont reach you, or if you have trouble getting good maps off the WWW, the following extra information may be useful:
University College London is about 400m south of Euston Station (mainline and underground) and 200m south of Euston Square station (underground). Gower Street runs one-way southbound past the main entrance of UCL. Tottenham Court Road runs one-way northbound about 200 m west of Gower Street.
Ramsay Hall is on Maple Street which runs west from Gower Street, close to UCL, crossing Tottenham Court Rd. Ramsay Hall is about 200 m west of Tottenham Court Rd. Warren Street underground station is on Tottenham Court Rd. just north of Maple Street. The hotels in Russsell Square are about 400 m east of UCL and a little to the south. The hotels in Cartwright Gardens are about 600 m due east of UCL.
For those registering on Thursday morning, go to the main entrance of UCL on Gower Street and cross the quadrangle to enter the building on the right of the portico. The South Cloisters run from the portico to the south side of the quadrangle.
The Darwin Theatre (Thursday plenary talks only) is entered from Gower Street, about 150m south of the UCL main entrance. Parallel sessions and all meetings on Friday and Saturday are in Physics and Astronomy which can be reached through the north end of the North Cloisters - on the other side of the portico from the South Cloisters.

Registration will be open at Ramsay Hall from 19:00 to 22:00 hrs on 3rd July and UCL from 08:00 on 4th July. Please pre-register now on the form below to let us know if you expect to attend.
