Travel cards on arrival
When travelling around London by public transport it is cheaper and more convenient to buy a pre-paid Oyster card rather than buy an individual ticket for each journey you make. Oyster cards can be bought from any London Underground station and the £3 deposit can be refunded if you return the card at the end of your visit to London. Alternatively, you can keep the card for a future visit. As long as you have enough money on the card you can travel on all buses and underground lines. You can add money to your card at any Underground station and from newsagents displaying the Oyster symbol.Where we are
UCL is located just south of Euston Road, within walking distance of Euston and King's Cross-St. Pancras mainline stations. The nearest underground stations are Euston, Euston Square and Warren Street. The postal address is:
Department of Physics & Astronomy, University College London, Gower Street, LONDON, WC1E 6BT United Kingdom
The HEP group is housed in the main physics building (grid D2 on the Bloomsbury campus map). Our group administrator (Christine Johnston) has an office in room E15 but will be in the conference office, E1, on the ground floor for most of the time during the meeting. The majority of the HEP group's offices are on the first floor with some also on the second floor.
A selection of useful maps are available from the Local
Facilities page.
