Planning details for the 2018 ENLIGHT meeting and training day, hosted by UCL.

To-Do List

Chairs

  • Email Manjit Dosanjh/Cai Grau about meeting dates to confirm: SJ. — ✓
  • Ask Manchester/Christie what topics they would like to contribute: GR.
  • Find out whether Ran Mackay would be willing to be an agent provocateur for one of the panel discussions: GR.
  • Book Cruciform Building Lecture Theatre for all 4 days: GR.
  • Identify Local Organising Committee: SJ, GR. — ✓
  • Discuss site visit with UCLH/Bouygues: RA.
  • Arrange discussion session topics and speakers: RA, GR.
  • Find out if we can publish contributed papers in peer-reviewed journal special edition: SJ. — ✓ (Manjit Dosanjh prefers not to publish in a journal).
  • Formal invitation letter (save the date letter without details, plus specific invitation to speakers): GR.
  • Arrange monthly meetings with Local Organisers: GR, SJ.
  • Put together web page (use HEP website) including Indico page: SJ. — ✓ — Indico page already created by CERN: they want to host the pages. We won't have edit rights.
  • Put together detailed list of speakers and topics for each session by 28/07/17: All. — Sessions confirmed by ENLIGHT committee.
  • Finalise timetable for all 3 days by mid-November: All. — ✓
  • Check how much funding is available from CERN and Manjit Dosanjh: SJ.

Clinical Proton Delivery: How to design a PBT centre

  • Commercial vendors: Varian (TPS software and equipment hardware), IBA (imaging hardware and single room solution)

  • Procurement process (if time): Richard Amos
  • UCLH build including BIM modelling: Tahir Ahmed, Paulina Zakrzewska, Bouygues (30 mins?).
  • Imaging solutions - Antje Knöpfe? (45 mins)
  • Clinical implementation: NEED A SPEAKER (45 mins?).
  • Proton Treatment Planning System: Uwe Oelfke, Antje Knopfe (45 mins?).
  • Monte Carlo simulations, including shielding, planning verification and pre-commissioning: Frank Verhagen, Joao Seco (30 mins?).
  • Commissioning a PBT centre: Håkan Nyström (45 mins?).
  • Heidelberg facility design - heavy ion (?30 mins)

3 Practical Sessions:
