MC - all hit strips.

MC - all xtalk hits plus track hits (when xtalk occurs on only one side). Data - a similar plot, only crosstalk.

MC - all hit strips on one side. A cut of No. photoelectrons must be greater than float(0) has been applied. So we see that most hits (in particular the crosstalk hits in the wings) have not passed the sparsification threshold cut in RerootToRawData (0.3pe?)

I think this is the closest I can get to two directly comparable plots.
On the left is Monte Carlo, crosstalk hits plus track on one side only where no.PE>0. On the right is data with crosstalk hits and track.

It looks to me like there are too few xtalk hits in the wings in the Monte Carlo. Looking through events by eye I found very few valid xtalk hits more than 2 or 3 strips away from the track.
