Data and MC reconstruction

Before the data can be used, it needs to be reconstructed. In UCL it was decided to use for the reconstruction the original Fortran code, nemor, developed in Strasbourg. Please see the latest user guide among the notes at ireswww.

The up to date copy of the package is stored under Lyon CVS, the package name is N3Nemos, N3Nemos. Please see the nemos user guide for the compilation instructions. The only addition, is that after all the NEMOS libraries are compiled, the UCL version of nemor executable has to be produced running the analy/prog/nemor.com.ucl compilation script. The preprocessor keys, to steer the compilation options (i.e. save only events above 2MeV, use DB energy resolution etc.) are found in the analy/prog/nemor.cra.ucl file. It is useful to read smth. about PATCHY preprocessor from CERNLIB before editing these files.

Some precompiled executables are installed in UCL at /unix/nemo2/n3/soft/N3Nemos/analy/bin.Linux directory. Please refer to the README file in the directory for details.

nemor.dat is an example of the control DAT file to manipulate the reconstruction (i.e. which file to reconstruct etc.), please relate to the nemos user guide for explanations about the meaning of different entries.
