Group
Structure
Our group consisted
of five physics undergraduates in their third year, studying at
University College London. The five members of our group were each
assigned a particular role based on their individual skills. As
the group was quite small there was no overall 'group leader' who
made all the decisions, but rather the group worked together as
a collective.
The members
of our group were split up in the following way: two people were
assigned to research the theory upon which the project was based,
two were set the task of carrying out all of the computational analysis
needed to make sense of the data we received. Finally the remaining
group member was set the task of organising and planning group strategy
and meetings, and of taking the minutes. In addition we were allowed
to confer with 'board members', people whose specialist knowledge
was needed in order to complete our group objectives. By far the
most influential of these was our project supervisor Dr Jon Butterworth,
a lecturer here at U.C.L. Pictures of all the group members and
