Muon Calibration at CalDet

Calibration constants made using only double-ended muon hits, correcting for pathlength and attenuation then taking 90% truncated mean of strip-end distributions.

Change of approach: Use double- or single-ended muon hits, provided there is no apparent corner clipping.

Looking at mean adc versus pathlength, it was clear that the correction was not working:

Even and Odd planes receive a different angular distributions of cosmic muons
-> correction which does not work, does not work differently in each orientation!
-> Odd/Even plane differences seen in top plot

Calculated a new correction.
Not clear whether or not it is any better.

Muon light output with path length and transverse position.
(Using cosmic counters to obtain muon sample)

The same as the top plot using new calibration.

Looks like there's some hardware problem around planes 15-19.
