FD data quality , 1997 p83 pass 1
Below is a comparison of p83 pass 1 & p77 pass 4 ( last on-peak run ).
In brief -
- FB
- The tubes arent working
- FK
- The calorimeter resolution is ~50% worse ( no radial information
from tubes )
- SW
- is OK / same as p77
- FE
- is low ( s2 is OK, s1 is 0.8*Ebeam, see plots )
Since we now have a large chunk of calibration data without tubes, the
outlook for FD luminosity is rather poor, particularly since the FDs are
rumored to be further apart than last year.
