Vivid
Intense
Abnormal
A lonely traveller
One day I will take my leave and depart this world
Go flying past the statues and the frozen
Those clinging on to the monocolour of their everyday lives
Those who never dream to dream
I have been a dreamer of dreams since the beginning
A holder of vast wild hopes
A caller of sirens
A mover of mountains
But as the world gets more frightened it stays more and more inside
And it kills me
It turns my brain inside out
This searching for a world to match my heart
Oh, how my heart longs to be expressed!
To show itself fully!
To sing openly!
To speak its truth and be seen in truth and light
But so much of the world is darkness and dull
So much seems to shy from that intense light
A light that needs to be spoken
To throw of its shackles and scream: “I am the light! Follow me!”
To lead to salvation
To see all that’s truthful and all that’s false and disintegrate everything that hides
