piPES status

Description of piPES

Tools on the PMC: OWAMP, traceroute, iperf

To deploy this: Abeline wants it, and so have it.
They want to grow out of that.
For scheduling for each tool.

Targets:

By Joint Techs they want to be able to work with two domains (stuff like writing to two databases)
also scheduling tests to say CERN.
Demo for joing techs:
joining data from piPES and ??????

Prhcts converting their database to current NMWG schema.

Javier: interoperability with Dante? Eric: well, yes :)

Today: intra domain is good; inter domain is not so good.

Pete: AAA stuff is essential but always gets delayed.
some names: Shibboleth, Permis, and another 2

People at Michigan r working on the AAA requirements.

Pete: UML: is anwp doing a UML decomposition of all this.
By analogy with DAIS-WG: they set about writing all the requirements for accessing databases.
Maybe that we should do the same.
that is write a decomposition of what everything should do?

To do:

1) work with Warren to update the database interface to NMWG v0.1.

2) Also do so for tracroute, Iperf

3) Request Interface: complete ADI

4) By GGF in Berlin: give a talk on ADI experiences.

5) Help the two at SLAC.

6) EGEE deployment?

7) Prototype diagnostic service.
