Training:
=========
Next time the web services course is run will be December.
Javier wanted it to be earlier, maybe September/October.

Loukik: I think that December is too late: need to have stuff before then
The courses would be held at NeSC in Edinburgh, and Pete's moving there in October, so maybe things will be easier then.




On Friday: there's a meeting with a Neurophysicist person, who wanted information wrt EGEE.
Javier will send any info he gets from that.

Need to communicate with Aphrodite/Sophie... but of course Sophie is on holiday

Javier asked Benjamin to work on what could be possible to use the WP7 stuff for.
Think it would be nice to incorporate stuff from WP7 in the requirements and then into the final bit.

Requirements document:
 ... they are still not here... Javier will try to get some info by mail.
 Need to make sure that whatever turns up out of this document there needs to be just one document from both Aphrodite and Sophie.
 

Requirements from middleware:
TODO: I was apparently supposed to start looking at that
 -> hopefully as much stuff as possible will translate from the middleware.

Richard Smith will join us from 3rd week in August. He will also contribute to requirements from middleware. Hurrah.



Survey of existing request/response methods
============

Gloria is the only one working on that.

Just to evaluate how these different products can be used for us, for piPES, Gridmon, Dante and so on.
Just to understand what's there and how easy it will be to incorporate this stuff into EGEE.

Gloria is on holiday.


BW Reservation and allocation: subtask 2.1.3

TODO: look at bandwidth reservation and allocation requirements from the use-cases I did
Anand will be working on that as well. Good.


Architecture:

Someone has to organise this

Workshop about the survey? Javier: no good dates for it.
Anand: you were going to use this as a starting point for architecture discussions.

Coordination with external activities
============

No changes; lots of people on holiday.

For the end of November: the second EGEE meeting.
Javier asked for paralellisation between JRA4, 1 and 3 wrt security.
JRA3 will ensure that whatever we use for security will fit with their stuff.
Need to look at Shibboleth or Permis.

NA4: meeting in Catania.


GGF GHPN:

Javier promised them that after the NA4 meeting he would provide them with information from the apps.
