A Quick guide to using the Agfa scanner using Windows NT on Pc28 in D17 for HEP Group members.

1) Log into your Nt account on Pc28

2) Select Agfa Fotolook from the programs menu to obtain a scan, which should be saved (as a .tif file seems the best option) to a directory that you have write access to.

3) The file can then be manipulated and saved as a jpg using Gimp. A Windows NT version of Gimp resides on Pc28, or you may use Gimp from a linux PC if you have previously saved the file to an accessible unix directory, probably referred to on Pc28 as your Y: drive.

4) In the interests of good housekeeping, please delete any large picture files when you no longer have a requirement for them.
