Minutes for UCL Proton Calorimetry Meetings, 12th November 2019 (D17, Physics & Astronomy, UCL)

Present

Simon Jolly, Laurent Kelleter, Raffaella Radogna, Saad Shaikh

Saad Shaikh

  • progress on fitting Bortfeld's Bragg curve on simulation data from Geant4 (from Laurent)
  • the code is ported in Eclipse and now is cpp executable, but still uses ROOT
  • next step will be the quenched Bragg curve and real data analysis
  • he will also start running the CMOS sensor and collect instructions about
    • running the software and acquiring images
    • analysing images
  • new directory pbt/wikiData/teaching

Laurent Kelleter

  • presents results about range uncertainties of the QuARC
    • uncertainty from the fit of light-depth curve is about 50um, but there are other sources of systematic uncertainty

Raffaella Radogna

Simon Jolly

  • meeting with Cham on Friday this week
