Comparison
The RMS of the the distribution of phase differences from the fitting and interpolation methods are plotted below. This RMS has two contributions:
- The underlying spread from trigger jitter
- The uncertainty in the correction method
The difference in the distributions is approximately 1%, with the fitting method being smaller. It should be noted that the fit takes approximately seven times longer to process an event than the interpolation method.
