NEMO experiments at UCL

Tracker under UV SuperNEMO, which is currently being assembled and commissioned at LSM in France, follows the successful NEMO-3 experiment. The NEMO experiments are looking for neutrinoless double beta decay, an extremely rare process that has been predicted but not yet observed. If this decay is seen, it would prove that neutrinos are their own antiparticles, which could help to explain the matter-antimatter asymmetry of the universe.

With SuperNEMO preparing to take data in 2017, the UCL team is active in both hardware and software, with many opportunities available to get involved, whatever your interests and expertise.
